Oree Cupz: Relief Within Reach
Apothecary Creative is excited to share our recent collaboration with Oree Development on their project to bring hybrid purpose to an everyday item. Introduced to us through Innovate Mississippi, inventor Percy Walker sought to highlight his innovative product—Oree Cupz. This versatile drink tumbler isn't just for hydration; it's designed with soft padding and rollers to help relieve hand pain, ease carpal tunnel symptoms, and provide stress relief.
Crafting the Perfect Shot
To truly capture the uniqueness of Oree Cupz, we employed a specialized filming technique for the product shots. Using a turntable and three-point lighting against a black background, we filmed the tumbler rotating—but we did something a bit different. Each light was recorded separately, giving us three distinct shots.
In post-production, we synchronized these shots and overlaid them in Adobe After Effects. This approach granted us complete control over each light source. We could adjust colors, intensities, and even toggle individual lights on or off—all blending seamlessly to create a cohesive and striking visual. This method allowed us to highlight the product's features with precision and artistry.
Add in quick movement, dynamic text, and some time-ramping shenanigans, and we end up with an eye-catching intro that really shows off all the features that Oree Cupz brings to the table…or desk…or cupholder.
Blending Into Daily Life
Aside from showing off the details of the product, another goal was to showcase how Oree Cupz seamlessly fits into everyday life. For this, we selected two key locations to tell the story: a gym and a home office.
At the gym, we featured a user on a rowing machine, demonstrating how Oree Cupz complements an active lifestyle. The cup's rollers provide much-needed relief after an intense workout, soothing sore hands and forearms. This setting highlighted the product's dual functionality—as both a hydration tool and a recovery aid for fitness enthusiasts.
In the home office, we captured how Oree Cupz supports those who spend long hours at their desks. The scenes illustrated the cup as a reliable companion for work and wellness, offering comfort during a busy day. It was important to us to reflect the real-world benefits for individuals managing hand fatigue or discomfort in a professional setting.
The Final Mixture
With all of the ingredients in place, the final step was to combine it all together into the perfect mixture.
We're proud to have delivered a dynamic and engaging video for Oree Development's upcoming website. The final piece not only showcases the unique features of Oree Cupz but also its potential to improve daily life for many people.
